My interest in pottery began as a child when my grandmother introduced me to her tenant's work. Seeing all the pots and bowls lined around her apartment, studying shapes and colors was as exciting to me as Christmas morning. I knew then that pottery was something I wanted to do.

I make pottery for everyday life. I am constantly exploring and combining my glazes, looking for the right accents for my pots. A plate for a sandwich, a bowl for some pasta; this is what my pottery is about. Its everyday use continues a dialogue started by myself and continued by the user.

Such a dialogue might go something like this:
" ..this shape feels nice in my hand, this pitcher is comfortable to pour. I like the color of this mug"
